Context

The starting point.

A growing academy had built up more material than its website could present: multiple course tracks, reading and literature resources, spoken-English programmes, and enrolment information competing for the same attention. Prospective students could not quickly tell what was offered, who it was for, or how to join.

Approach

How the project was structured.

  • 01

    Content and course audit

Every course, resource, and page was catalogued so overlapping material could be merged rather than reproduced.

  • 02

    Information architecture

Courses were grouped by learner intent, exam preparation, spoken fluency, and general study, instead of by internal department.

  • 03

    Journey design

Each course page was designed to answer level, duration, format, and next step before asking for a commitment.

  • 04

    Responsive build

Layouts were engineered mobile-first, since most enquiries begin on a phone.

  • 05

    Editorial handover

Staff were given a structure they can extend as new courses are added, without a developer.

Design focus

What the build prioritised.

We publish design and engineering decisions rather than unverified performance claims. Where a client shares analytics and agrees to publication, results are added here.

  • Course discovery in three clicks or fewer
  • A consistent template for every programme
  • Clear enrolment path on every course page
  • Resource library separated from marketing pages
  • Structure that supports future search visibility

Constraints

What the work had to fit inside.

Every project has limits that shape the solution more than the brief does. These were the ones that mattered here.

Built on

Static architectureStructured content modelResponsive component librarySchema markup
  • An existing catalogue of live courses that could not go offline during the rebuild
  • Content owned by teaching staff, not a marketing team, so the structure had to be editable without training
  • Majority mobile traffic on variable connections

Governance

Weekly review with the academy director, with course taxonomy signed off before any page design began. Content migration was staged track by track so enrolment was never interrupted.

On results

We publish performance figures only from a client’s own analytics, with their written permission, and we do not publish numbers we cannot show the source for. Where a prospective client needs evidence of outcomes, we arrange a reference conversation with the client concerned at shortlist stage.

NEXT STEP

Start a project with a clear structure.

Share your audience, content, systems, and objectives. We will propose an approach, a sequence, and a realistic timeline.

Discovery is fixed-scope, so you know what the first phase costs before it starts.
